The Book of the Guard

I made another book, this time for the guards of the main gate. The elven camp on the Epic Empire Larp has always had a book of the guard, with a guard shift plan, pictures of all the camp’s inhabitants and notes on events at the gate. The first one is full now, after several years of use and so I made a replacement.

Elven Book

I made this leather bound journal for a Larp event this year. while manythings are still really improvised I learned a lot on how book covers are constructed.

I used an ordinary artist journal for the book, as well as cardboard and thin leather.

The motiv was inspired by an art nouveau ceramic tile.

“A promise that must not be broken.“

This is yet another page in the diary of my elven larp character, Elrian. It’s based on a scene that occurred on the Epic Empires 2015.

Going back

Elrian_old_revisited_01

I am digging through old Photographs of my elven Larp character.
This was in 2009. I still like it, and so I did a new retouch on it.

I still have the robe and I am planning to make some alterations to it so it will fit my quality standard and the current character concept again.

Tirithion Crest

Tirithion

Since Elrian now has a new Surname I started to add the crest of house Tirithion to her costume.
And to everything else.

This is also the first time I used this really old silver yarn. It looks great, but gets torn all the time.

Elrian’s Diary: Sindarin Songs

I still haven’t started working on the Luinil pages, so here are the pages I did before the Larp.
These are songs in Sindarin, the first being “The Fall of Gil-Galad”.
I took the translation by Ryszard Derdzinski from elvish.org and the melody my father made years ago.

The second one is a compilation from all the A Elbereth Gilthoniel stanzas from both the books and the movies. Some of them I edited to fit the four-line pattern.
