Facing ever onward

Elrian_Kiesgrube04_blog

From 2009 to 2017, is has been a long journey for this character. Elrian started out as a princess, now she is a simple soldier. I’ve played her in two different groups, lead other player in battle, used her to overcome my fear of speaking in front of people.

The Surcoat is this year’s adition to my kit, and I like it a lot. I will probably change a few small things, but overall it turned out quite well. The whole kit weights slightly over 10 kilos wich, in terms of armour is not much, but I can wear it for prolonged periods of time. The scalemaille was woven by me, from TheRingLord small scales, the Helmet and Pauldrons were made by Wimmer Live Art.

Coastal cliff shooting

Every time I go hiking I end up thinking: You could do a great costume shooting, with all those beautiful mountains. So this time we packed a dress, stopped on a moor that’s right on a seaside cliff.

It was Cyranil’s first time as a photographer, and we underestimated a lot of thing. Like the wind, for example. Ever tried posing for a photo while you are literally being swept off your feet?

But then wind is awesome in photos…

This dress was made by Celefindel creations a few years back, I made her an elven battle dress in exchange. I’ve had it with me on most Larps, but since I mostly wear armour, there have been no photos until now.

More of Liz Sai/Mioon’s character Lian Fei. I’ve been experimenting with light and blurring.

Christmas-day shooting with my mum. This is her Larp-character Ardea Cinerea.

We made most of the costume together, though she did the embroidery.

Slowly, I am learning how to use my Camera. These are quite flawed, but I like the mood in these two Portraits of Elrian Tirithien, my Larp character.
Almost every part of the costume is self-made.

Thanks to Yumi for assisting me.

Construction Impressions

While constructing the elven camp on the Epic Empires Larp I managed to take a few pictures.
Thank you to everyone who helped to create the camp once more. Those were exhausting days and more than a thousand hours of work where put into building the camp.
